8 Nodes of AI-Mas: AI Tools for Education Countdown

After reading a blog by Eric Curts (@ericcurts) I was inspired to create my own holiday countdown. For the last few years I have been doing it in a variety of ways. It is a lot of fun to countdown different EdTech products that could be useful in the classroom. Last year I did a Chrome-mas.

I created the countdown in Canva. Canva is my go to place for create fun and interactive elements of a variety of kinds. I decided on 8 days as that was the amount of time left before the school’s holiday break. Next year, I strive to begin the process a bit earlier. I do not know about you but December seems to fly in education and beyond. There are still a few more days to go so tune in for the countdown.

Included (so far) are the following Apps that utilize Artificial Intelligence.

• Snorkl.app -in this app students can record and share answers be it math or vocabulary and receive immediate feedback from AI. There is even an integrated digital whiteboard.
• ClassCompanion.com – in this website you can receive personalized feedback on written assignments. You can receive feedback on short answer, essay, or even an outline. Think Wordtune 2.0. Students are able to rewrite their response and get further feedback.
• Notebook LM – Google enters the game with this tool that allows you to use multiple sources to interact and learn. You can ask questions about a collection of resources (Docs, PDFs, text, etc.)
• twee – a collection of over 30 AI tools that can help educators create content.
• Curipod – an AI tool for creating interactive lessons in the form of slideshows.
• Almanack – a collection of over 35 tools for teachers to create content such as games, lesson plans, summarizers, and curriculum)
• Mizou – a free tool that allows your students to have safe, monitored interactions with educational Ai chatbots. Students do not need an account but the teacher creates a free account that allows monitoring of the interactions.
